     Major Henry Read Darley was the son of T. F. Darley.2 He married Emily Henrietta Vereker, daughter of Hon. John Prendergast Vereker and Louisa Medlicott, on 12 February 1890.1 He and Emily Henrietta Vereker were divorced in 1914.1 He died on 25 April 1931.1
     Major Henry Read Darley gained the rank of Major in the service of the 4th Dragoon Guards.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1
