     Hon. John Prendergast Vereker was born in 1822.1 He was the son of John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort and Hon. Maria O'Grady.2 He married Louisa Medlicott, daughter of George Medlicott and Emily Magan, on 21 December 1858.1 He died in December 1891.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1863.1

     Louisa Medlicott was the daughter of George Medlicott and Emily Magan.1 She married Hon. John Prendergast Vereker, son of John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort and Hon. Maria O'Grady, on 21 December 1858.1 She died on 12 June 1906.1
     Her married name became Vereker.

     George Medlicott is the son of Joseph Medlicott.2 He married Emily Magan, daughter of Arthur Magan and Hannah Georgina Tilson.1
     He was Clerk of the Peace for County Kildare.2 He lived at Rutland Square, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort

     John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort was born on 1 July 1790.1 He was the son of Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort and Jane Westropp.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Maria O'Grady, daughter of Standish O'Grady, 1st Viscount Guillamore and Katharine Waller, on 15 December 1814.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Mary Jones, daughter of John Jones, on 10 June 1861.2 He died on 20 October 1865 at age 75.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Limerick between 1817 and 1820.1 He held the office of Mayor of Limerick between 1831 and 1832.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Gort, co. Galway [I., 1816] on 11 November 1842.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Kiltarton of Gort, co. Galway [I., 1810] on 11 November 1842.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between June 1865 and October 1865.1

     Hon. Maria O'Grady was born in 1791.2 She was the daughter of Standish O'Grady, 1st Viscount Guillamore and Katharine Waller.2,3 She married John Prendergast Vereker, 3rd Viscount Gort, son of Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort and Jane Westropp, on 15 December 1814.4 She died on 4 April 1854.1
     Her married name became Vereker. After her marriage, Hon. Maria O'Grady was styled as Viscountess Gort on 11 November 1842.

     John Gage Prendergast Vereker, 5th Viscount Gort was born on 28 January 1849.1 He was the son of Standish Prendergast Vereker, 4th Viscount Gort and Hon. Caroline Harriet Gage.2 He married Eleanor Surtees, daughter of Robert Smith Surtees, on 28 January 1885.1 He died on 15 August 1902 at age 53.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Brigade, South Irish Division, Royal Artillery.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the Isle of Wight.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Durham.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Gort, co. Galway [I., 1816] on 9 January 1900.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Kiltarton of Gort, co. Galway [I., 1810] on 9 January 1900.1

     Eleanor Surtees was the daughter of Robert Smith Surtees.1 She married, firstly, John Gage Prendergast Vereker, 5th Viscount Gort, son of Standish Prendergast Vereker, 4th Viscount Gort and Hon. Caroline Harriet Gage, on 28 January 1885.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Starling Meux Benson on 27 June 1908.1 She died on 28 February 1933.1
     From 28 January 1885, her married name became Vereker. After her marriage, Eleanor Surtees was styled as Viscountess Gort on 9 January 1900. From 27 June 1908, her married name became Benson.

     Colonel Starling Meux Benson married Eleanor Surtees, daughter of Robert Smith Surtees, on 27 June 1908.1 He died on 27 December 1933.1
