     Robert Boyle was the son of David Boyle and Katharine Boyd.1 He married Margaret Montgomerie, daughter of Hugh Montgomerie of Portry.1 He died in September 1626.1
     Robert Boyle lived at Figgidoch, Isle of Great Cumbrae, Scotland.1

     James Boyle is the son of David Boyle and Katharine Boyd.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Crawfurd, daughter of John Crawfurd of Bedland, younger.1 He married, secondly, Jean Barclay, daughter of Gavin Barclay, on 22 August 1622.1
     He also had two daughters.1 He was a merchant and shipowner at Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 He lived at Halkishurst, Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 His marriage to Jean Barclay was annulled in 1632.1
