Richard Guinness was born circa 1690.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Read, daughter of William Read.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Clare circa 1752.2 He died after 1766.2
On 10 February 1746 he was described in a Bill in Equity Exchequer as ‘Richard Guinis, Agent or Receiver to the Most Rev Arthur Price, Archbishop of Cashel', and was therein authorised to demise episcopal lands.1 He was He was said to have run a coaching inn at Celbridge.2 He lived at Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland.1

Arthur Guinness was born on 12 March 1725.3 He is the son of Richard Guinness and Elizabeth Read.2 He married Olivia Whitmore, daughter of William Whitmore and Mary Grattan, on 29 May 1761.3 He died on 23 January 1803 at age 77.3
In 1756 at Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland, he founded the family brewery business.3 In 1759 at St. James's Gate, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, he moved the breweryon a 9,000–yr lease.3 He lived at Beaumont, County Dublin, Ireland.3
