     Edward Cope Gem was born in 1849 at King's Norton, Worcestershire, England.1 He was the son of Edward Gem and Ann Cope.2 He married Mary Augusta Chamberlain, daughter of Reverend George William Chamberlain and Launce Campbell Glover, in 1877 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He died after 1936.1
