     Charles Robin Jocelyn Eden Grey was born on 28 June 1872.1 He was the son of Sir William Grey and Georgina Chichele-Plowden.2 He died on 15 May 1921 at age 48.1
     He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet Major in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the First World War, with the Royal Air Force.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1
