Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 3rd Bt. was the son of James Richardson and Rachel Wardlaw.2 He married, secondly, Helen Richardson, daughter of Sir Robert Richardson of Pencaitland, 1st Bt. and Euphan Curriehill.1 He married, firstly, Anne McGill in 1649.1 He died in 1680.1
