     Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 3rd Bt. was the son of James Richardson and Rachel Wardlaw.2 He married, secondly, Helen Richardson, daughter of Sir Robert Richardson of Pencaitland, 1st Bt. and Euphan Curriehill.1 He married, firstly, Anne McGill in 1649.1 He died in 1680.1
     He was invested as a Knight in 1651.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Richardson, of Pitfour Castle, co. Perth [N.S., 1630] in 1678.1

     Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 3rd Bt. and Anne McGill.2 He married Lady Margaret Kerr, daughter of William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Lady Anne Kerr, in 1666.1 He died on 28 May 1717.1
     He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Richardson, of Pitfour Castle, co. Perth [N.S., 1630] in 1680.1 He was New Tag Smeaton in 1708.1

     Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 4th Bt. and Lady Margaret Kerr.2 He died on 13 April 1731, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Scots Foot Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Richardson, of Pitfour Castle, co. Perth [N.S., 1630] on 28 May 1717.1

     Sir William Richardson of Smeaton, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir James Richardson of Smeaton, 4th Bt. and Lady Margaret Kerr.2 He married Eleanor Hilton, daughter of Robert Hilton.1 He died on 4 April 1747.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Colonel Kerr's Dragoons.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Richardson, of Pitfour Castle, co. Perth [N.S., 1630] on 13 April 1731.1
