     Sir Ellis Cunliffe, 1st Bt. was born on 12 April 1717.1 He was the son of Foster Cunliffe and Margaret Carter.2 He married Mary Bennet, daughter of Henry Bennet, on 19 December 1760.1 He died on 16 October 1767 at age 50.1
     Sir Ellis Cunliffe, 1st Bt. was invested as a Knight.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cunliffe, of Liverpool [Great Britain] on 26 March 1759, with a special remainder to his brother, Robert.1 He had two daughters.1
