     Lucy Elizabeth Smitheyt Spain was the daughter of Colonel George Redesdale Brooker Spain.2 She married Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, 9th Bt., son of Sir Hamilton John Hulse, 8th Bt. and Estelle Campbell, on 8 July 1954.1 She died on 20 November 1999.1
     From 8 July 1954, her married name became Hulse.
