     Sir William Rose, 2nd Bt. was born on 1 April 1846.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Temple.2 He married Katherine Elizabeth Macalister, daughter of Alexander Macalister, on 2 January 1868.1 He died on 4 October 1902 at age 56.1
     Sir William Rose, 2nd Bt. was a practising barrister.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Rose, of Montreal [U.K., 1872] on 24 August 1888.1
