     Robert Houstoun-Boswall-Preston was born on 11 December 1852.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.2 He died on 12 February 1913 at age 60, unmarried.1
     Robert Houstoun-Boswall-Preston was baptised with the name of Robert Houstoun-Boswall.3 On 20 July 1908 his name was legally changed to Robert Houstoun-Boswall-Preston by Royal Licence.3

     Alfred Houstoun-Boswall was born on 13 February 1854.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.2 He married Emmeline Charlotte Frances de Winton, daughter of Captain Robert Henry de Winton, on 22 July 1891.1 He died on 29 April 1920 at age 66.1
     Alfred Houstoun-Boswall gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1

     From 22 July 1891, her married name became Houstoun-Boswall.1
