John Hay Allen was born circa 1798.1 He was the son of Captain Thomas Allen and Katherine Manning.1 He married Georgiana Kendall, daughter of Edward Kendall.1 He died on 13 February 1872, without issue.1 He was buried at Eskdale, Inverness-shire, Scotland.1
