     Amelia Montgomery was the daughter of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Anne Evatt.1 She married Reverend Charles Cobbe Beresford, son of Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford and Anne Constantia Ligondes, on 22 November 1795.1 She died on 14 March 1839.1
     Her married name became Beresford.

     Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. was born on 19 November 1717.1 He was the son of William Montgomery of Magbiehill and Barbara Rutherford.1 He married, firstly, Hannah Tomkyns, daughter of Alexander Tomkyns, on 1 July 1750.1 He married, secondly, Anne Evatt, daughter of Humphry Evatt, on 9 January 1762.1 He died on 26 December 1788 at age 71.1
     Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. succeeded to the title of 1st Baronet Montgomery, of Magbiehill [Great Britain] on 29 October 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland].1 He lived at Macbie Hill, Peebles-shire, Scotland.

     Rt. Hon. John de la Poer Beresford was born on 14 March 1737/38. He was the son of Sir Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone.2 He married, firstly, Anne Constantia Ligondes, daughter of General Count (?) de Ligondes, on 12 November 1760. He married, secondly, Barbara Montgomery, daughter of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Hannah Tomkyns, on 4 June 1774.2 He died on 5 November 1805 at age 67.
