     Elise Shrehlow was born on 5 June 1862.1 She married Karl Prinz von Ardeck, son of Wilhelm Prinz von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and Marie Prinzessin von Hanau und Horowitz, on 16 April 1891 at Liège, Belgium.1 She died on 26 November 1938 at age 76 at Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.1
     Her married name became von Ardeck.

     Philip I Landgraf von Hessen was born on 13 November 1504 at Marburg, Hessen, Germany.2 He was the son of Wilhelm II Landgraf von Hessen and Anne von Mecklenburg.3 He married, firstly, Christina von Sachsen, daughter of Georg Herzog von Sachsen and Barbara Jagellon, on 11 December 1523 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany.2 He married, secondly, Margarete von der Saale in 1540. He died on 31 March 1567 at age 62 at Kassel, Hessen, Germany.1,2
     Philip I Landgraf von Hessen also went by the nick-name of Philip 'the Magnanimous'.3 He gained the title of Landgraf von Hessen in 1509.4
