     Lt.-Col. Gerald Owen Whyte was the son of Percy Horatio Marnfred Whyte.1 He married Susan Muir Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth James Muir Mackenzie and Phyllis Taylor, on 22 November 1947.1 He died in January 1994.2
     Lt.-Col. Gerald Owen Whyte gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd/10th Gurkha Rifles.1
