     Douglas Close Richmond was the son of Reverend Henry Sylvester Richmond.1 He married Hon. Margaret Cecilia Bruce, daughter of Sir Henry Austin Bruce, 1st Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Annabella Beadon, on 16 September 1869.1 He died on 3 April 1930.1
     Douglas Close Richmond was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1
