H. Lerwill, in September 1947.² She died on 17 April 1969 at age 78.¹

     Alfred Ronald Dashwood Gilbey was born on 20 February 1911 at Chelsea, London, England.^3,2 He was the son of Alfred Ronald Gilbey and Florence Emily Dashwood.⁴ He married Anne Leslie-Smith, daughter of Captain Gilbert Leslie-Smith, on 24 January 1947.¹ He died on 31 July 1977 at age 66 at Chelsea, London, England.^1,2
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.¹ He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1952 and 1958, for Holborn and St. Pancras.³ He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).¹ He was chairman of W & A Gilbey between 1958 and 1969.¹ He held the office of Member of the Great London Council between 1967 and 1973, for Haringey.³
