Allan Gilmour of Lundin and Montrave was born on 29 September 1805.1 He was the son of John Gilmour and Margaret Urie.2 He married Agnes Strang, daughter of John Strang, on 10 June 1839.1 He died on 18 November 1884 at age 79.1

Sir John Gilmour of Lundin and Montrave, 1st Bt. was born on 24 July 1845.1 He was the son of Allan Gilmour of Lundin and Montrave and Agnes Strang.2 He married Henrietta Gilmour, daughter of David Gilmour, on 18 September 1873.1 He died on 20 July 1920 at age 74.1
Sir John Gilmour of Lundin and Montrave, 1st Bt. held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Fife.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the service of the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.1 He was created 1st Baronet Gilmour [U.K.] on 1 September 1897.1
