     Sir James Liston Foulis of Woodhall, 9th Bt. was born on 3 July 1847.2 He was the son of Sir William Liston Foulis of Woodhall, 8th Bt. and Henrietta Ramage Liston.3 He married Sarah Helen Ochterlony, daughter of Sir Charles Metcalfe Ochterlony of Ochterlony, 2nd Bt., on 8 December 1868.2 He died on 29 December 1895 at age 48.2
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Foulis, of Colinton [N.S., 1634] on 22 February 1858.1

     Alice Dorothy Patience Hollins was the daughter of Sir Frank Hollins, 1st Bt.1 She married, firstly, Major Vere de Hoghton, son of Sir James de Hoghton, 11th Bt. and Aimee Jean Grove, on 9 November 1911.1 She married, secondly, Joseph Eccles, son of Joseph Eccles, on 14 May 1921.1 She died on 14 February 1968.1
     From 9 November 1911, her married name became de Hoghton.1 From 14 May 1921, her married name became Eccles.1
