     He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Foulis, of Colinton [N.S., 1634] on 29 December 1895.1

     Sir Charles James Liston Foulis of Colinton, 11th Bt. was born on 4 January 1873.1 He was the son of Sir James Liston Foulis of Woodhall, 9th Bt. and Sarah Helen Ochterlony.2 He married Maria Moore, daughter of Richard Moore, in 1902.1 He died on 18 January 1936 at age 63.1
     He was Paymaster for German East Africa between 1916 and 1919.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain between 1917 and 1919.1 He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Foulis, of Colinton [N.S., 1634] on 16 April 1918.1
