     Captain Cedric Fawcett Horsfall was born on 15 December 1889.1 He was the son of Sir John Cousin Horsfall, 1st Bt. and Sarah Emily Fawcett.2 He married Doris May Sutcliffe, daughter of William T. Sutcliffe, on 26 November 1915.1 He died on 18 September 1916 at age 26, killed in action.1
     Captain Cedric Fawcett Horsfall graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 6th Battalion, West Riding Regiment.1
