     Admiral Sir Henry Bertram Pelly was born on 9 September 1867.3 He was the son of Captain Richard Wilson Pelly and Katherine Jane Fry.2 He married Lillian Katherine Hawkshaw Vincent, daughter of Rev. Sir William Vincent, 12th Bt. and Hester Clara Hawkshaw, on 14 December 1904.3 He died on 27 December 1942 at age 75.3
     Admiral Sir Henry Bertram Pelly was a Younger Brother of Trinity House in 1894.3 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He was decorated with the award of Order of St. Vladimir of Russia (with swords).3 He was decorated with the award of Order of El Nhada (1st Class).3 He was decorated with the award of Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy (4th Class).3 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1
