     Katherine Jane Fry was born on 5 August 1831 at Society of Friends QM, London, England.2 She was the daughter of John Gurney Fry and Rachel Reynolds.3,2 She married Captain Richard Wilson Pelly, son of Sir John Henry Pelly, 1st Bt. and Emma Boulton, on 30 April 1851.1 She died on 1 November 1901 at age 70.1
      From 30 April 1851, her married name became Pelly.
