     Elizabeth Adams was the daughter of George Adams.2 She married Sir Thomas Preston, 1st Bt., son of Henry Hulton and Elizabeth Preston, on 26 November 1792.1 She died before 1799, without issue.1
     From 26 November 1792, her married name became Preston.

     Thomas Edward Preston was born on 17 November 1816.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Preston, 1st Bt. and Jane Bagge.2 He married Caroline Prescott, daughter of William Willoughby Prescott, on 7 August 1845.1 He died on 23 February 1890 at age 73.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1

     Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Preston was born on 15 May 1847.1 He was the son of Thomas Edward Preston and Caroline Prescott.2 He married Mary Row Mare, daughter of William Henry Mare, on 22 January 1878.1 He died on 7 August 1905 at age 58.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1

     Mary Row Mare was the daughter of William Henry Mare.1 She married, firstly, Robert Turing Bruce before 1878.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Preston, son of Thomas Edward Preston and Caroline Prescott, on 22 January 1878.1 She died on 28 February 1928.1
     From before 1878, her married name became Bruce.1 From 22 January 1878, her married name became Preston.

     Lt.-Col. Philip Henry Hulton Preston was born on 30 December 1879.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Preston and Mary Row Mare.2 He married Dorothy May Jennings, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Herbert Alexander Kaye Jennings, on 23 February 1914.1 He died in 1963.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1
