     Robert Leslie was born circa 1598.1 He was the son of Patrick Leslie, 1st Lord Lindores and Lady Jean Stewart.1 He married Frances Ferrers, daughter of Sir John Ferrers and Dorothy Puckering, on 29 December 1626.2 He married Catherine Basset, daughter of Edward Basset and Elizabeth Pigott, on 4 November 1633 at St. Giles in the Fields, London, EnglandG.1 He died circa 1675.1
     He was also known as Robert Leasly.2 He lived at Kinclaven, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King Charles I.1 He lived at Westminster, London, EnglandG.1

     Catherine Basset was born circa 1617.1 She was the daughter of Edward Basset and Elizabeth Pigott.1 She married Robert Leslie, son of Patrick Leslie, 1st Lord Lindores and Lady Jean Stewart, on 4 November 1633 at St. Giles in the Fields, London, EnglandG.1 She died after 1702.1
     From 4 November 1633, her married name became Leslie.1

     Ethel Havelock-Allan was born on 1 November 1867.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Henry Marshman Havelock-Allan, 1st Bt., V.C. and Lady Alice Reynolds-Moreton.1 She married Joseph Albert Pease, 1st Baron Gainford, son of Sir Joseph Whitwell Pease, 1st Bt. and Mary Fox, on 18 October 1886.1 She died on 22 October 1941 at age 73.1
     From 18 October 1886, her married name became Pease.1 She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 After her marriage, Ethel Havelock-Allan was styled as Baroness Gainford on 3 January 1917.

     Joseph Pease, 2nd Baron Gainford was born on 8 March 1889.1 He was the son of Joseph Albert Pease, 1st Baron Gainford and Ethel Havelock-Allan.1 He married Veronica Margaret Noble, daughter of Sir George John William Noble of Ardmore, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ethel Walker-Waters, on 3 February 1921.1 He died on 23 September 1971 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Lovat Scouts.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Gainford, of Headlam in the County of Durham [U.K., 1917] on 15 February 1943.1

     Hon. Miriam Blanche Pease was born on 22 August 1887.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Albert Pease, 1st Baron Gainford and Ethel Havelock-Allan.1 She died on 30 January 1965 at age 77.1
     She was Inspector of Factories for the Home Office between 1916 and 1938.1 She was Superintendent Inspector, West Midland Division between 1938 and 1942.1 She held the office of Member of the North Berwick Town Council between 1954 and 1958.1

Veronica Margaret Noble1

     Veronica Margaret Noble was born on 3 March 1900.2 She was the daughter of Sir George John William Noble of Ardmore, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ethel Walker-Waters.1,2 She married Joseph Pease, 2nd Baron Gainford, son of Joseph Albert Pease, 1st Baron Gainford and Ethel Havelock-Allan, on 3 February 1921.1 She died on 5 November 1995 at age 95.1
     From 3 February 1921, her married name became Pease.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyllshire.2 After her marriage, Veronica Margaret Noble was styled as Baroness Gainford on 15 February 1943.

Sir George John William Noble of Ardmore, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir George John William Noble of Ardmore, 2nd Bt. was born on 3 March 1859.1 He is the son of Sir Andrew Noble of Ardmore, 1st Bt. and Margery Durham Campbell.2 He married Mary Ethel Walker-Waters, daughter of Samuel Abraham Walker-Waters, on 29 July 1896.1 He and Mary Ethel Walker-Waters were divorced in 1916.1 He died on 29 July 1937 at age 78, without male issue.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 13th Hussars.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Noble, of Ardmore and Ardardan Noble, Cardross, co. Dunbarton [U.K., 1902] on 22 October 1915.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Northumberland Hussars.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1918.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1
