William Ponsonby, 1st Viscount Duncannon was born in 1659.1 He was the son of Sir John Ponsonby and Elizabeth Folliott.1 He married Mary Moore, daughter of Hon. Randle Moore and Lady Jane Brabazon.2 He died on 17 November 1724.2 He was buried at Fiddown, County Kilkenny, Ireland.2 His will (dated 11 August 1724) was probated on 11 December 1724.3
