     Major Brian De la Poer Beresford was born on 28 September 1910. He was the son of George Stuart De la Poer Beresford and Margaret Hooper. He married Valmai Jones, daughter of Merlyn B. Jones, on 10 April 1942. He died on 7 December 1942 at age 32 at New Guinea, killed in action.
     Major Brian De la Poer Beresford fought in the Second World War.
