     Lt.-Col. Thomas Edward Lawrence was born illegitimately on 16 August 1888 at Tremadog, Caernarvonshire, WalesG.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Robert Tighe Chapman, 7th Bt. and Sarah Junner.1 He died on 19 May 1935 at age 46 at Bovington Camp, Bovington, Dorset, EnglandG, from his motorcyle accident injuries.1 He was buried at Moreton Estate, Dorset, EnglandG.1
     Lt.-Col. Thomas Edward Lawrence also went by the nick-name of Lawrence of Arabia.1 He was educated at City of Oxford High School for Boys, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated between 1907 and 1910 at Jesus College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was an archaeologist between 1910 and 1914 at Carchemish, SyriaG.1 He fought in the First World War, assisting the Arabs to rise up against the Ottomans.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1917.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1918.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was with the Foreign Office, attending the Paris Peace Conference as part of Prince Faisal's delegation between January 1919 and May 1919.1 He was advisor to the Colonial Office in 1921.1 He gained the rank of Aircraftman between August 1922 and February 1923 in the Royal Air Froce.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1923 and 1925 in the Royal Tanks Corps.1 He gained the rank of officer between August 1925 and March 1935 in the Royal Air Force.1 He wrote the book Seven Pillars of Wisom, published 1926.1 On 13 May 1935 at Wareham, Dorset, EnglandG, he was injured when he fell from his Brough Superior SS100 motorcycle.1 He wrote the book The Mint.1
