Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 5th Bt. was born in 1843 at Pollok Castle, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Oswald Dunlop.1 He married Annie Elizabeth Green on 8 June 1871.1 He died on 14 December 1885 at Dover, Kent, England, in a hotel coffee room, suddenly, without issue.1
Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 5th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Renfrew Militia.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 5 March 1867.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
