     Her married name became Cairnes.

     He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1935, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery and Indian Army.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He retired from the military in 1956.1 He was ordained in 1957.1 He was the Vicar after 1960 at Gwinear, Cornwall, EnglandG.1 He lived in 2003 at Vine House, The Common, Wincanton, Somerset, EnglandG.1
