     Richard Cornwall Legh was born on 10 June 1818.1 He was the son of George John Legh and Mary Blackburne.2 He married Thomassina Antonia Sedley, daughter of Frederick Sedley and Caterina della Taffia, on 28 June 1852.1 He died on 10 January 1876 at age 57.1
     Richard Cornwall Legh was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Attorney-General [Malta].1 He also had three daughters who died in infancy.1
