     Vere Leigh is the daughter of Thomas Leigh, 1st Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh and Mary Egerton.2 She married Sir Justinian Isham, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Isham, 1st Bt. and Judith Lewin, in 1653.1
      From 1653, her married name became Isham.1

     Alice Leigh, Duchess Dudley was born circa 1579.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Leigh, 1st Bt. and Katherine Spencer.2 She married Robert Dudley, Earl of Warwick, son of Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester and Douglas Howard, before 25 September 1597.1 She died on 22 January 1668/69, without male issue.1
     She was created 1st Duchess Dudley [England] on 23 May 1644, for life.1 On her death, her title expired.1
