     Reverend George Leigh-Mallory was born in 1806.2 He was the son of George Edward Leigh and Elizabeth Philips.1 He married, firstly, Julia Mallory, daughter of Reverend John Houldsworth Mallory, on 28 February 1832.3 He married, secondly, Henrietta Trafford, daughter of Trafford Trafford and Henrietta Broughton, on 7 June 1836.1 He died on 26 July 1885.1
     Reverend George Leigh-Mallory was baptised with the name of George Leigh.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1830 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 On 18 December 1832 his name was legally changed to George Leigh-Mallory by Royal Licence.1 He was the Rector at Mobberley, Cheshire, England.1
