     Alexander Fraser, 1st of Philorth was the son of William Fraser and Margaret Moray.2 He married, firstly, Joanna Ross, daughter of William de Ross, 5th Earl of Ross and Mary Macdonald, in 1375.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of Sir David Hamilton, 3rd of Cadzow and Janet Keith, before 1400.1 He died circa 1411.2
     He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeen.2
