     Robert South Thurlow Cunynghame was born on 27 March 1807 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.³ He died on 13 April 1829 at age 22 at Bruges, Belgium, unmarried.^1,2
     He gained the rank of officer in the service of the Bengal Army.²

     Sir Francis Thurlow Cunynghame of Milncraig, 8th Bt. was born on 11 August 1808.² He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.³ He married Hannah Caroline Eyrn, daughter of William Robertson Eyrn, on 3 August 1830.² He died on 27 October 1877 at age 69.²
     He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Cunynghame, of Milncraig, co. Ayr [N.S., 1702] on 24 January 1877.¹

     General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame was born on 12 August 1812 at Oakley, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.³ He married Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge, daughter of Field Marshal Henry Hardinge, 1st Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton and Lady Emily Jane Stewart, on 13 September 1845.¹ He died on 10 March 1884 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 60th Rifles.¹ He fought in the Crimean War.¹ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).¹ He was Lieutennant-Governor and Commander of the forces of the Cape of Good Hope.¹ He was General of the Dublin Division.¹ He wrote the book My Command in South Africa 1874-1878, published 1879.²

     Princess Vera Ilinitchna Grouzinsky married Prince Nicolai Ivanovitch Sviatopolk-Mirsky, son of Prince Tomasz-Bogumil-Jan Sviatopolk-Mirsky, on 4 May 1860 at Tiflis, Georgia.¹

     Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge was the daughter of Field Marshal Henry Hardinge, 1st Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton and Lady Emily Jane Stewart.^2,3 She married General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame, son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow, on 13 September 1845.¹ She died on 9 July 1894.¹
      From 13 September 1845, her married name became Cunynghame.¹ She was invested as a Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.) in 1879.¹

     Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame was born on 8 July 1848.¹ He was the son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge.² He married Emily Harriette Prescott, daughter of Colonel Arthur Prescott, on 21 June 1893.¹ He died on 3 May 1935 at age 86.¹
     He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Engineers.¹ He was a practising barrister in 1875.¹ He was author of works on law, electricity, and fine arts.¹ He was Special Commissioner of British Guiana in 1880.¹ He was Assistant Commissioner under the City of London Charities Acts in 1884.¹ He was Secretary to the Parnell Special Commission in 1888.¹ He was Secretary to the Bering Sea Arbitration in 1892.¹ He was Secretary to the Featherstone Riots Commission
in 1894.¹ He was Legal Assistant to the Under-Secretary of the Home Office
between 1894 and 1913.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1908.¹

     Colonel Arthur Prescott gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 2nd Bombay Cavalry.¹

     Emily Harriette Prescott was the daughter of Colonel Arthur Prescott.² She married Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame, son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge, on 21 June 1893.¹ She died on 15 April 1951.¹
      From 21 June 1893, her married name became Cunynghame.¹

     Arthur Hardinge David Cunynghame was born on 17 November 1853.¹ He was the son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge.² He married Alexandra Isabel Scott, daughter of Alexander Scott, on 24 June 1892.¹ He died on 14 November 1917 at age 63.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was District Auditor of Hampshire.¹
