     Robert South Thurlow Cunynghame was born on 27 March 1807 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.3 He died on 13 April 1829 at age 22 at Bruges, Belgium, unmarried.1,2
     He gained the rank of officer in the service of the Bengal Army.2

Sir Francis Thurlow Cunynghame of Milncraig, 8th Bt.1

     Sir Francis Thurlow Cunynghame of Milncraig, 8th Bt. was born on 11 August 1808.2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.2 He married Hannah Caroline Eyrn, daughter of William Robertson Eyrn, on 3 August 1830.2 He died on 27 October 1877 at age 69.2
     He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Cunynghame, of Milncraig, co. Ayr [N.S., 1702] on 24 January 1877.1

General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame1

     General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame was born on 12 August 1812 at Oakley, Hampshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow.3 He married Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge, daughter of Field Marshal Henry Hardinge, 1st Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton and Lady Emily Jane Stewart, on 13 September 1845.1 He died on 10 March 1884 at age 71.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 60th Rifles.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He was Lieutennant-Governor and Commander of the forces of the Cape of Good Hope.1 He was General of the Dublin Division.1 He wrote the book My Command in South Africa 1874-1878, published 1879.2

Frances Elizabeth Hardinge was the daughter of Field Marshal Henry Hardinge, 1st Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton and Lady Emily Jane Stewart.2 She married General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame, son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Maria Thurlow, on 13 September 1845.1 She died on 9 July 1894.1
      From 13 September 1845, her married name became Cunynghame.1 She was invested as a Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.) in 1879.1

     Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame was born on 8 July 1848.1 He was the son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge.2 He married Emily Harriette Prescott, daughter of Colonel Arthur Prescott, on 21 June 1893.1 He died on 3 May 1935 at age 86.1
     He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He was a practising barrister in 1875.1 He was author of works on law, electricity, and fine arts.1 He was Special Commissioner of British Guiana in 1880.1 He was Assistant Commissioner under the City of London Charities Acts in 1884.1 He was Secretary to the Parnell Special Commission in 1888.1 He was Secretary to the Bering Sea Arbitration in 1892.1 He was Secretary to the Featherstone Riots Commission
in 1894.1 He was Legal Assistant to the Under-Secretary of the Home Office
between 1894 and 1913.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1908.1

     Emily Harriette Prescott was the daughter of Colonel Arthur Prescott.2 She married Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame, son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge, on 21 June 1893.1 She died on 15 April 1951.1
      From 21 June 1893, her married name became Cunynghame.1

     Arthur Hardinge David Cunynghame was born on 17 November 1853.1 He was the son of General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame and Hon. Frances Elizabeth Hardinge.2 He married Alexandra Isabel Scott, daughter of Alexander Scott, on 24 June 1892.1 He died on 14 November 1917 at age 63.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was District Auditor of Hampshire.1
