     Dr. Marie Carmichael Stopes was born on 15 October 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Stopes and Charlotte Carmichael.¹ She married, firstly, Reginald Ruggles Gates in 1911.¹ She married, secondly, Humphrey Verdon-Roe, son of unknown Verdon-Roe, in 1918.² She died on 2 October 1958 at age 77 at Dorking, Surrey, England, from cancer.¹
     She graduated from University College London, London, England, in 1902 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).¹ She graduated from University of Munich, Munich, Bavaria, Germany, in 1904 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in paleobotany.¹ Her marriage to Reginald Ruggles Gates was annulled in 1914.¹ She wrote the book Married Love, published 1918.¹ She wrote the book Wise Motherhood, published 1918.¹ She graduated from University College London, London, England, with a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.).¹ She wrote the book Radiant Motherhood, published 1920.¹ In 1921 she founded The Mother's clinic, the U.K.'s first family planning clinic.¹ She was editor of Birth Control News.¹

     Harry Stopes-Roe was born in 1924.¹ He is the son of Humphrey Verdon-Roe and Dr. Marie Carmichael Stopes.¹ He married Mary Eyre Wallis, daughter of Sir Barnes Neville Wallis and Molly Bloxham.¹
     He was a philosopher.¹

     Gertrude Henrietta Kimpton was the daughter of William Kimpton.² She married Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt., son of Sir William Augustus Cunynghame of Milncraig, 4th Bt. and Frances Myrton, on 31 March 1817 at St. Anne, Soho, London, England.^1,3 She died in 1842.¹

     Prince Michael Nicolaievitch Sviatopolk-Mirsky was born on 17 July 1870 at Tsarskoie Selo, Russia.¹ He was the son of Prince Nicolai Ivanovitch Sviatopolk-Mirsky and Cleopatra Mikhailovna Khanykov.¹ He died on 16 July 1938 at age 67 at Warsaw, Poland, unmarried.¹

     Henry Sydney Myrton Cunynghame was born on 6 August 1819 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Gertrude Henrietta Kimpton.³ He married Mary Ann Bostock, daughter of Pryce Bostock, in 1852 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.^1,2 He died circa 1900.¹

     Pryce Bostock lived at Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, Wales.¹

     Mary Ann Bostock was the daughter of Pryce Bostock.² She married Henry Sydney Myrton Cunynghame, son of Colonel Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 5th Bt. and Gertrude Henrietta Kimpton, in 1852 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.^1,3 She died in 1898.¹
