     William John Frederick Currie was born on 28 August 1852.1 He was the son of William Close Currie and Harriet Gardiner Browne.2 He married Minnie Euphemia Henrietta McMillan Catania, daughter of G. H. Catania, on 1 January 1887.1 He died on 2 September 1923 at age 71.1
