     Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. was the son of Alexander Staples and Elizabeth (?).2,3 He married Charity Jones, daughter of Sir Baptist Jones, before September 1623 at Cookstown, Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland.1,3 He died on 31 May 1653 at Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland.1,3
     Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. was admitted to Middle Temple on 27 May 1606.1 He emigrated to Ireland arriving on 1610.1 He was created 1st Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [Ireland] on 18 July 1628.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1640.1

     Sir Baptist Staples, 2nd Bt. was born before 1625 at Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland.3 He was the son of Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. and Charity Jones.2 He died in June 1672, unmarried.1
     Sir Baptist Staples, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 31 May 1653.1

     Sir Alexander Staples, 3rd Bt. held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1661.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Strabane between 1661 and 1665.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] in June 1672.1 He had one other daughter.1
