     Sir Robert Ponsonby Staples, 12th Bt. was born on 30 June 1853.1 He was the son of Sir Nathaniel Alexander Staples, 10th Bt. and Elizabeth Lindsay Head.2 He married Ada Louise Stammers, daughter of H. Stammers, on 25 April 1883.1 He died on 18 October 1943 at age 90.1
     Sir Robert Ponsonby Staples, 12th Bt. succeeded to the title of 12th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 3 February 1933.1

     Sir Robert George Alexander Staples, 13th Bt. was born on 21 September 1894.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Ponsonby Staples, 12th Bt. and Ada Louise Stammers.2 He married Vera Lilian Jenkins, daughter of John Jenkins, on 26 July 1922.1 He died in December 1970 at age 76, without male issue.1
     Sir Robert George Alexander Staples, 13th Bt. was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 18 October 1943.1 He was a director of Peter Marsh & Sons (Northern Ireland) in 1961.1
