William Magill Kennedy, son of Charles George Blagrave Kennedy, on 28 February 1922.1 She married, secondly, Major Arthur William Dobbin, son of Colonel unknown Dobbin, in December 1927.1
     Violet Hope Staples was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1 From 28 February 1922, her married name became Kennedy. From December 1927, her married name became Dobbin.1

     Lt.-Col. William Magill Kennedy was the son of Charles George Blagrave Kennedy.2 He married Violet Hope Staples, daughter of Sir Robert Ponsonby Staples, 12th Bt. and Ada Louise Stammers, on 28 February 1922.1 He died on 22 September 1923 at India, killed.1
     Lt.-Col. William Magill Kennedy was Deputy Commissioner of Assam.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).1
