     Admiral George Clinton was born in 1686.4 He was the son of Francis Clinton, 6th Earl of Lincoln and Susanna Penyston.2,3 He married Anne Carle, daughter of General Peter Carle.2 He died on 10 July 1761.5
     Admiral George Clinton gained the rank of Captain in June 1716 in the service of the Royal Navy.4 He held the office of Governor of Newfoundland in 1732.2 He held the office of Governor of New York in 1741.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the White in 1761.2 He had also had three sons.4

     John Chichester Knox was born on 5 April 1815.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. George Knox and Harriet Fortescue.2 He married Lady Louisa Georgiana Dawson-Damer, daughter of Captain Hon. Henry Dawson and Eliza Moriarty, on 3 March 1853.1 He died on 22 March 1884 at age 68, without issue.1
     John Chichester Knox gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 2nd Dragoon Guards.1
