Theobold Shackleton was born on 2 July 1841 at Moone, County Kildare, Ireland. He was the son of Ebenezer Shackleton and Eleanor Bell. He married Elizabeth Ann Jameson on 19 May 1870. He died on 17 September 1921 at age 80 at County Kildare, Ireland.
