Walter Parkyns Tyser was born on 27 March 1867 at Reigate, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of George Walter Tyser and Annie Parkyns.2 He married, firstly, Gertrude Elinor Langton, daughter of Charles Langton, in July 1894.2 He married, secondly, Jessie Woodriffe Berkeley Quill, daughter of Colonel Berkeley Crosbie Quill and Lucy Ethel Woodriff, in October 1920.2 He died on 5 May 1944 at age 77 at Brora, Sutherland, Scotland.2
