     Beatrix Dunbar was the daughter of Reverend Sir Charles Gordon Cumming Dunbar, 8th Bt. and Edith Wentworth.1 She married John Spencer Ward on 2 October 1897.1 She died on 8 January 1919.
     Her married name became Ward.

     Lt.-Col. Denis Lucius Alban Gibbs was born on 15 October 1905.1 He was the son of Reverend Reginald Gibbs and Lucia McCausland.1 He married Lady Hilaria Agnes Edgcumbe, daughter of Kenelm William Edward Edgcumbe, 6th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe and Lilian Agnes Arkwright, on 17 October 1933.1 He died in 1984.1
     Lt.-Col. Denis Lucius Alban Gibbs was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1926 in the service of the Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in 1937 in the service of the 2nd Battalion.1 He was educated in 1939 at Staff College, Camberley, Surrey, England. He was Staff Captain of the General HQ between 1939 and 1940.1 He was Brigade Major of the 144 Brigade, British Expeditionary Force, France between 1939 and 1940.1 He was Commander of the 1st/6th Queen's, at El Alamein in 1942.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.1 Between 1942 and 1943 he was a POW in Italy, until he escaped.1 He was decorated with the Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (and bar) in 1944.1 He was Commander of the 2nd Warwicks, during the Normandy invasion, and in Holland and Germany between 1944 and 1945.1 He was Commander of the 1st Queen's, in Malaya between 1947 and 1948.1 He was Commandant of the Eaton Hall Officer Cadet School between 1948 and 1950.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment.1
