     Sir James Williams-Drummond, 3rd Bt. was born on 11 August 1814.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Walker-Drummond, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Anne Forbes-Drummond.1 He married Mary Eleanor Hamlyn-Williams, daughter of Sir James Hamlyn-Williams, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Fortescue, on 14 July 1853.1 He died on 10 May 1866 at age 51.2
     Sir James Williams-Drummond, 3rd Bt. was baptised with the name of James Walker-Drummond.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Forbes-Drummond, of Hawthornden, Midlothian [U.K., 1828] on 29 February 1844.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Camrmarthen Artillery Militia.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Carmarthenshire.1 On circa December 1858 his name was legally changed to James Williams-Drummond under the will of his father-in-law.1
