     Rear-Admiral Charles Hamlyn-Williams was the son of Sir James Hamlyn-Williams, 2nd Bt. and Diana Anne Whitaker.1 He married Harriet Rycroft, daughter of Sir Nelson Rycroft, Bt., on 15 August 1833.1 He died after 1855.1
     Rear-Admiral Charles Hamlyn-Williams was commissioned in August 1803, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire in 1852.1 He retired from the military in May 1855, with the rank of Rear-Admiral.1
