     Mary Sylvia CALMADY-HAMLYN was born on 9 August 1881.1 She was the daughter of Vincent Waldo Calmady Hamlyn and Emma Josephine Pease.2 She died on 10 June 1962 at age 80, unmarried.1
     Mary Sylvia CALMADY-HAMLYN was educated at Wycombe Abbey School.1 On 1898 her name was legally changed to Mary Sylvia Calmady-Hamlyn by Royal Licence.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon.1 She was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1
