     Major John Bowen Colthurst was born on 4 June 1779.1 He was the son of John Colthurst and Jane Bowen.1 He married Peggy Billinghurst, daughter of Reverend William Billinghurst, on 6 January 1806.2 He died on 10 May 1848 at age 68.1
     He was also known as Major John Bowen-Colthurst.3 He lived at Dripsey Castle, County Cork, Ireland.2

     He lived at Oak Grove, County Cork, Ireland.1 He lived at Carrigadrohid Castle, County Cork, Ireland.1
