     Heinrich III Landgraf von Hessen-Marburg was born on 15 October 1440.1 He was the son of Ludwig I Landgraf von Hessen and Anne von Sachsen.1 He married Anna von Katzenelnbogen, daughter of Philip 'der Ältere' Graf von Katzenelnbogen and Anne von Wurttemberg, on 30 August 1458. He died on 13 January 1483 at age 42.1
     Heinrich III Landgraf von Hessen-Marburg also went by the nick-name of Heinrich 'the Rich'.2 He succeeded as the Landgraf von Hessen-Marburg in 1458.2
