     Arthur Monckton was born on 20 July 1845.1 He was the son of General Henry Monckton and Anne Smythe.2 He married Gertrude Pleydell-Bouverie, daughter of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie, 4th Earl of Radnor, on 28 April 1896.1 He died on 2 May 1917 at age 71.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Worcestershire.1 He lived at Normanston Hall, Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. He lived at Hilton, Shropshire, England.3

     He lived at Stretton Hall, Staffordshire, England.1 He had two other daughters, who died unmarried.1

     He lived at Somerford, Cheshire, England.2

     Sophia Pigot was born illegitimately circa 1763.1,2 She was the daughter of George Pigot, 1st and last Baron Pigot of Patshull.3 She married Hon. Edward Monckton, son of John Monckton, 1st Viscount Galway and Jane Westenra, on 14 March 1776.1 She died on 1 January 1834.1
      Her married name became Monckton.
